a bird told Siegfried of Brünnhilde, he crossed a ring of fire to get to her, they fell in love at first sight, which is just as well as it would be disappointing if nothing happened after that. They were married but the ring of fire and the love at first sight wasn’t enough, so Brünnhilde sent Siegfried forth into the world to do acts of valour, whatever they are. She gave him her horse and he gave her the most powerful ring in the world, the one forged of river gold, that would bring down the Gods. And so, without thinking these lovers got involved in rebalancing the world, and once that happens……..well love takes a back seat to the apocalypse and the collapse of an old world order.
